Humans have common sense, it is unspoken, unwritten, but we acquire it through experiences, and from the surroundings. But teaching common sense (what comes naturally to humans) to machines using Artificial Intelligence (AI) is still proving to be a difficult task. Recently published articles in MIT Technology Review, arXiv, Wired, and OpenMind point to the fact that the AI based systems are really smart and a lot of efforts have been put to teach them think like human brains. Yet, such systems have absolutely no common sense.
